Arsenal Former Chairman Dies At 82

Arsenal's Former Chairman Passes Away At the Age of 82

Former Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has been reported dead as the former chairman dies at the age of 82.

Peter Hill Wood became the clubs chairman in 1982 and was the one behind the appointments of George Graham and Arsene Wenger as managers of the English club as they won five league titles, five FA Cups, the League Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup between them during his reign as chairman of the club.

Ill health forced Hill-Wood to step down from the role of being the clubs chairman in June 2013.

Arsenal say he was also "instrumental" in the successful move from Highbury to Emirates Stadium in 2006.

He is survived by his wife Sally and three children Sarah, Julian and Charles as his funeral will be announced soon by his families.
