The Newly-elected governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, has explained why the people of Ekiti State voted for him and returned him into power after he won in the pool after he was announced winner in the just concluded Ekiti state Election.
The new Governor Fayemi, during an interview with the press, claimed there has been “arrested development” in Ekiti State.
in the last four years under Governor Ayodele Fayose, the government sized everything in the state without making any developments he said.
The former Minister of Solid Minerals also revealed why he is returning to power, noting that “there is unfinished business” in the Ekiti Government House and he is here to finish those business.
“This victory means that alot to us in a state level, a determination by our people to really have governance on a serious level back in Ekiti State.
That’s why the people have shown fate, by returning us to power because they know we have what it takes and we will abide by our promises which we promised during the campaigns.
On a national level, this victory means that the propaganda out there about our party (APC) being a party of trialists and people who are just interested in a section of the country is not selling to ordinary Nigerian,” The newly elected Governor said .
He was asked to explain what he meant by an unfinished business, Gov. Fayemi said his return to the seat of power as Ekiti State governor is to continue developmental projects in the state from where he stopped while he was still serving the state as a minister.
He claimed that during his time, he made sure everything was fine and those steps he took landed him back into the Ekiti State Government House As The Governor of the state.
